See how our garden grows

This blog entry is dedicated to Brian, the hard working gardener. This year has been what Brian calls an "experiment." Goal: Plant random veggies and see what grows. Looks like we have a miniature pumpkin patch, hot peppers, some bell peppers and cantaloupe. It also appears as if the deer really like to spend time in the garden. Some of the other plants, fruits and veg were not so successful but then again, there's always next year.

Initially Brian thought the orange peppers were bell peppers but to his surprise they turned out to be one of the hottest peppers he's ever tried. I sliced up half a mini pepper for a stew the other day and it just about took the price for the hot as hell award.

August celebrations!

This month we celebrated Mya's fourth birthday. I can't believe it! We had family and friends over for a Curious George monkey party. If you haven't guessed it that is her favorite show.

One of her favorite presents was a big girl bike. It is so cool. She can even take Snuggles for a ride.
Since she's turned four she seems so much older. She even brings home homework from school. She started a new class, the Stingrays in "Ms. Jessie's room". She seems to love it.

On the day of her Birthday party it felt like any other day but then a few days later it hit me. It wasn't until one day while she was riding her bike I started to choke up because I could not believe how old she looked. These last four years has flown by and the next four years will go by even faster. Then one day she will be on her own and all we can hope for is that she is happy with whatever path she chooses. No matter what, she will always be my little girl, my "moo moo Monkey".

Married to a process improvement engineer

For those of you who know Brian, you know he has a "system" for everything. The other day he got the urge to "improve" our pantry and this is the result. For those of you who really know me, he created a special box just for me.
Gotta love him!
