Valentine Cuties

Ok, so some of you who follow my blog said they were a little worried and concerned after reading the last post. I tried to express what was going on with a twist of wittiness and sarcasm. I was told by my brother that it sounded like a cry for help. I understand. Those of you who are parents probably could relate at some point right???

We are all doing much better although I think Kate still has an ear infection. This week Mya had her sweetheart dance at school. She and friends danced the night away. This was probably one of the few times she wanted me to be at a school dance with her so I totally capitalized on the opportunity.

Finally, I have pics of the girls!

Mya showing off her Valentines

Mya and Kennedy on the dance floor. They thought the chicken dance was a hoot!

Aunt Sarah and Mya had a good time baking cupcakes for Mya's school party.

Yummy!

All Dolled up and ready for the dance.

Our Valentine

Busted!

Just Chillin!

Bruiser baby getting into things she shouldn't. She's good at this.

There's a reason why I haven't posted in a month.

As I sit here typing, my background music consists of Kate screaming at the top of her lungs. We've attempted to nap now for approximately 20 minutes with no luck. I go in, change her diaper (most of the time the crib is prime time for pooping which has now become the nap routine) then I put her back down as she fusses for a nano second before passing out. Well, today and for the past week, this has not been the case. Actually the last month has been what I call baby hell. This baby hell is a gentle reminder for me that two children are enough for the Hoff household.

Poor Kate, where do I begin? She had double hernia surgery on the 2nd of January. The hernia presented itself on Xmas eve while vacationing hundreds of miles away from home. I tried to play it cool but I was a nervous wreck until we got home. If surgery wasn't bad enough for a 9 month old, coincidely she developed a flu virus lasting 14 days. We thought the coast was clear only to discover she developed a nasty cold lasting two more weeks. Then ahhh, normal healthy baby for like two days before developing a strange rash along with another cold now which has now caused an ear infection (self -diagnosed based on my mommy experience). Gee, we have another doctor appointment today. Lucky me. I am officially the mom who takes her kid to the Doctor every week.

Sidebar: I also left a job, started a new job, hit a deer, and threw my back out (more doctor visits and co-pays) and received yucky news about a family member's health all within two weeks.
It's been an emotional and expensive month.

On a positive note: Mya is an angel. She is 4.5 years old and incredible. This age is the best. Oh yeah, Kate likes to dance to music. This is super cute. I can post a video of this...Yes!

Now I have to get Kate because no progress made in the sleep department.

2 hours later...Kate is asleep!

Wish I had pictures to post but you probably don't want to see pictures of a snotty infant. I have a cute one of Mya at the Dentist but it's on my phone and I don't know how to transfer it to a blog. I could figure it out if I had ten minutes, but I have no time. I have to prepare for our fun filled day at the doctor.

It has to get better and it will.
