Arizona Christmas

This Christmas we packed our bags and headed to Tucson to spend the holidays with my Great Aunt Ona, Cousins and Siblings. Although the weather was unusually chilly, nothing beat the view of mountains while hiking in the sun with my peeps. Brian and some of the family took Mya to Old Tucson to visit some ghost towns while I stayed behind to chill with Kate and Dama Ona. Mya came home with a prized possession given to her by a cowboy...a sheriff's badge. She was appointed as the head sheriff of the town. Now when she doesn't get what she wants she threatens to put us in jail. She used to tell us to just "go down the drain", so we welcome the change of expression.

On Xmas morning, Mya thought she heard Santa say "hello" as we walked out to the fireplace. I heard it too. When she heard the random "hello" she replied, "Santa, is that you?". Totally cute.

We loved spending time with family and hope to plan another trip in the future. For now we are at home playing catch up and unfortunately some of us have been ill, including Baby Kate. She had to have surgery to repair two hernias on Monday. She seems to be doing ok but now appears to have a virus of some kind. Looking forward to a week without illness or surgeries!!!

On a more positive note, our baby is now crawling at full speed ahead. We are getting a workout.

Pics to come. Blogger isn't allowing my pics for some reason.
